Dr. DeVoss is highly skilled in muscle testing and joint manipulation. He utilizes muscle testing to determine exactly what areas of my spine required manipulation and also the direction of correction necessary and with each successive treatment my body responded by improved mobility and reduced pain. I have received Chiropractic care for over 30 years and his skill at manual manipulation is superior. He has multiple ways to get a segment to move and works until he frees it and is a pro at getting you to relax so the adjustment goes easily. He also utilizes muscle testing to determine the nutrition support my body needs in order to correct deficiencies or imbalances so healing is facilitated from the inside out. He had me pain free after my 2nd treatment but I felt so good that I returned to doing bodywork too soon and caused a setback. Dr. DeVoss was able to get me back on track quickly and I am now pain free and the range of motion in my low back is back to what it was before the disc tear injury I suffered in 2000. I still have work to do to get my musculature imbalance corrected but that will be a factor of time, strengthening exercises and stretching -- coupled with maintenance care by Dr. DeVoss. I will be referring my clients in need of Chiropractic Care to him because I can trust in the work of his hands and his heart.

In the 90's I was plagued with daily headaches and constantly dosing myself with meds. My fiancee was worried about the amount of meds I was taking and suggested Chiropractic. Boy was I skeptical (and scared)! But to alleviate his worries I went. I have been a patient ever since.
My fiancee had lower back problems and walked pigeon-toed. While I was being treated for my headaches, he was being treated for his lower back pain. After treatments his back discomfort was eased AND his pigeon-toed walk was GONE!
As for me, adjustments fixed my chronic headache problem! If I experienced a migraine, Dr. DeVoss would squeeze me in and usually get the migraine to either dissipate completely or go down to a very slight headache. What a relief! I don't have to worry anymore about the possible long-term harm of repeated use of Advil or Tylenol would do to my body! Let alone the constant drill of headache pain!
And More: I have allergies that run from Spring straight through to Fall. I'd always used either OTC or prescription meds, which made me very sleepy. I had no idea that a simple Chiropractic maintenance schedule and nutrition could take me to the point where I don't take any allergy meds at all except on really bad pollen (windy) days!
On the vanity side my adult acne eased up! What a joy! It's amazing what your body can do without drugs!
I've never left Dr. DeVoss' care. He's patient and helps me with all kinds of problems from neck problems (stiff necks), headaches, colds (yep, can ease those too!), flu, stomach problems, skin problems... etc.
And my most important medical issue, pregnancy. I was concerned not only was I spotting but I'm one of those people who usually will catch any cold or flu buzzing about. I was really worried I might lose the baby. Between the patience and assistance of both my OB and Dr. DeVoss, I (43) successfully delivered a healthy 8lb 14oz baby girl. I think I only got mildly sick once during the entire pregnancy and it was a sniffle. YAHOO!
The current press/fad is "Preventative" medicine. Chiropractic maintenance is just that! I am able to have most of my medical issues treated quickly and simply at the Chiropractor's office and I've not had to see my medical doctor in 3 years! Dr. DeVoss also works with me on exercise and diet.
So, if you ask me... having a consistent Chiropractic regime is necessary for good long-term health! I do not have (and never had) any insurance that covered Chiropractic, so I've been paying out-of-pocket SINCE 1992! So let me tell you, EVERY dollar is well spent!

I have been a patient of Dr. DeVoss' since 1990. Over the last 14 years many of my longstanding health problems have dramatically improved. By the mid- 1980's, my osteo-arthritic knees made it very difficult for me to go up and down a flight of stairs, I always had to use elevators. I was also using a cane to help me walk with less pain. At the time I was only in my mid 30's. With Dr. DeVoss' treatments and encouragement, I no longer use a cane and I'm able to walk and even dance without the serious pain my medical doctors told me I just had to live with until I was much older and a knee replacement became a viable treatment. Through the years Dr. DeVoss has addressed my back and neck pain from old injuries, common illness likes colds and flu, digestive difficulties, allergies and many other problems. I had seen a number of chiropractors over the years before I found Dr. DeVoss and while chiropractic has always helped me, Dr. DeVoss has done more than anyone to make my life painfree, healthful and more of a pleasure.
